Covering for scale aero commander, sheet covered
« on: 20/10/2014, 04:47:06 PM »
Having been ill for sometime and unable to stand to get experience with R/C flying, I have used the time to build a couple of models but the last time I built a model the only option for covering was doped tissue,(shows how long ago that was) I have read that if I use the Solarfilm type of covering the grain of the wood will show through. I would like some suggestions please. Ron Mead

The grain doesn't show through most colours Ron. There are some "clear" colours which are designed so it does, though.

Thanks Chris,
I will give the film a try on the underside of the wings first and see what it looks like. Ron
