Maiden Take-off and Landing...
« on: 30/08/2014, 07:23:08 PM »
All,

Had my first real hands-on session with my re-motored Arising Star today.

Massive thanks to Chris Bott and all the usual suspects for all their help and encouragement!

OK, the last "landing" was not really good by putting the nose wheel in the long grass just short of the strip, snapping the prop and splitting the front bulkhead, but yer know....

The new, stronger bulkhead is being built right now and I'm hoping to have it airworthy in the next couple of days.

Hopefully tomorrow will be a little calmer on the wind front...

Cheers!

It went well today Jim

You should be pleased with three flights with no intervention at all from me  :)

Are you there tomorrow then?

Cheers Danny!

Chris,

Yes I'll be there tomorrow (Sunday) but the Arising Star will not be.

New bulkhead plate cut but much more assembly required this afternoon...

Hopefully I'll get a slot on the club trainer.

Thanks again!
