Taranis users...
According to some sources the upgraded version of the Taranis X9D transmitter, known as the "X9D Plus" has been (or is about to be) released for sale.
FrSky have it on their website:
http://www.frsky-rc.com/product/pro.php?pro_id=137
And the manual:

http://www.getfpv.com/frsky-taranis-x9d-plus-2-4ghz-accst-radio-x8r-combo-w-case-mode-2.htmlNothing yet on Hobbyking.
Main differences or additions on top of the current Taranis are:
- Built in haptic (vibration) alerts
- Greyscale LCD screen with a variable colour backlight (blue to white)
- Latest firmware
There is some talk that the transmitter antenna SWR function has been removed, but this is unconfirmed.
Updates 04/09/2014:I asked some beta testers on the OpenRC Forum about the X9D Plus and the upcoming X12D radio. Here is a reply from MikeB who claims to actually have a X9D Plus radio:
T9HobbySport had them in stock recently, but they seem to have all gone now (£179.99)!
No touchscreen. Two backlights, one white and one blue.
This response is from Xu@FrSky (FrSky employee, I think) from the FrSky forum:
Hi, yes, X9D Plus is the new version of the Taranis X9D, it has been generally available and you can buy it from our dealers. The new radio coming soon called X12D, the specific parameters of it has not been determined.
