Why do you think the forum has become so quiet?
I've been thinking about this and some of my thought are:
1) Do all members know that it's here? Could you do another "mass mail" to all members reminding them that it's here?
2) As Forum Admins, you and DannyF almost certainly will have some method to send a broadcast email to all forum members. Maybe you could use that?
3) Education. Do all members know how to read / post / use the forum? I would be willing to hold coaching sessions at the club night if management thought that would be useful.

Hi Jim, I agree a lot of the problem is down to communication. I hope that following the response to the bulk email last week we will see it used more. I think if you look at the membership many do not even have a pc never mind how to use one. And they don't see the need.
There are also many forums that have masses of members, so really I think a club one is only useful for local club matters. I certainly haven't the time to put build threads on multiple sites as some do.
Chris and I were musing whether a facebook group might be better, what do you think?

Jim, I have been thinking of doing a mass email about the forum.
I've been leaving it a little while after the first one. I might do one over the weekend.
If it's OK with you I'll mention that you would be willing to help folk at a clubnight, if anyone is struggling but keen to have a go.
I've just altered the link on the main GMAC website, so it opens the forum in it's own window.
Does everyone think this is better to look at? Rather than the window within a window we had before?

Yes, I would wait a while before the next mass email. As an Admin can you set the forum to send out a weekly summary email of post to all forum memebers?
Yes, I'll be happy to help anyone that need to be introduced to the forum on clubnight. I will bring my laptop. Does the Labour Club have a video projector and screen? I have a video projector but no mobile screen....
Yes, it's much better having the forum in it's own full window instead of the IFRAME. It was too narrow for modern widescreen monitors. I had already made a shortcut to get the fullscreen (non IFRAME) version....
