A few months ago a club member gave me an old Alliance "pattern ship" type aircraft to hopefully improve my flying.
Flew great and I really enjoyed but, of course, I eventually crashed it.
Nose section totally destroyed, rear fuz snapped off (had happened before) and wings broken.
Could have just binned it, but no, I've decided to rebuild.
Dug out the box of bits:

Decided to chop out all the damaged depron from the nose and rear fuz:

Pieced the wings back together and refitted the spar:

All that is left of the forward fuz:

Made some new formers / bulkheads for the nose:

Assembled into something approaching a nose section:

Nice looking job so far Jim. :)

Cheers, Chris.
You wouldn't happen to have a couple of square feet of 3mm Depron lying around would you?
Cheers!
-
Hi Jim I can let you have a couple of sheets of white 2mm if that's any use?
Cheers

Danny,
Yes, that would be excellent. It would be fine for the inner strengthening ring I need to put inside the rear fuz to join the tail back on.
Could you bring to next club night?
Cheers!
