Title: Plane wanted...
Post by: Jim (Chairman) on 25/04/2015, 04:35:19 PM
All,

I do not, in any way, want to cheat on the bring and buy clubnight next week, but...

I'm looking for a certain type of plane:
I'm currently looking at various planes on RCM&E, BMFA, Facebook, EBay etc etc but I'd would much rather buy something from someone at the club I trust and can see before a long drive.

I need to get into some "twiddly" bits, rolls, loops, invert, stall turns, doughnuts(?) and handbrake turns(?!?!?!)...

If anyone has anything that they want to part with, please Private Message me...

Thanks, and sorry if this looks like cheating. That is NOT my intension...

Cheers!

Hi Jim

I may just have a really old knacker that might suit you for this sort of thing.
Let me know if you'll be at the field tomorrow (Sunday)

Chris,

Sure, I'll be at the field from about 10:30 till 14:00 at least.

What have you got?

Cheers!

Hi Jim

Just thought I'd pop this here so you can refer to it.

I knew I'd seen these for sale somewhere. Once upon a time these were called a GWS Formosa.
Lot's of folk had them as a small convenient one piece model, for flying whenever there was a moment.
It's solid foam and a little bit smaller than the Alliance, but quite similar. Probably bounces a lot better too.
Again great for practicing "twiddly bits". It would take all the Alliance gear, or maybe even Radjet gear, if either ever became available...

Chris,

Yeah, that would be OK.

Stuff I've already got to put in:
Needs a motor that I can salvage from one of my old quads, RX same...

Less than 20 quid means no biggie if I down it.

Problem is that HK want an extra 30 QUID to ship to the UK.

Will see what tomorrow night brings, if not I might combine some other bits into the order so I don't feel quiote as royaly rodgered...!

Did you see the email I forwarded from Peaky?

Cheers!
